Sizable and highly successful hedge fund is expanding its Capital Markets team and seeks strong mid-level Analyst. Currently a remotely set role, will be ordinarily based in NY City.

Responsibilities:

-Conduct fundamental due diligence and financial analyses on investment opportunities in the Equity Capital Markets arena.
-Create and maintain financial models, valuation frameworks and price analyses, and investment theses.
-Prepare for and participate in meetings/calls with management teams, sell side research analysts, Equities Capital Markets/Sales and Trading professionals, and consultants/KOLs.
-Track and monitor lock-up expirations, target lists, earnings releases and transcripts, and catalyst calendars.
-Develop questions, processes, and systems for analyzing and evolving our decision making through objective frameworks.
-Work closely with quantitative researchers to consider new applications for analyzing the equity capital markets landscape.
-Apply advisory principles and practices to mapping and building relationships, thematic investment areas, and opportunity pipelines.
-Potential investment areas/products include IPO, Follow-on, Block, Convert, SPAC, PIPE, Private/Crossover.

Skillsets sought:

-Strong background in conducting due diligence and analyzing financial statements.
-Exceptional communications skills, verbal and written.
-Financial modeling and synthesizing/translating financial-based analyses, conclusions, and concepts into narrative-based formats.
-Familiarity with navigating data rooms, cap tables, and corporate presentations and filings.

Background Requirements:

- 3-6 years in advisory experience, buy or sell side, Investment Banking, Equity Research,     Asset Management (P/E or HF).
- Exceptional educational background, either finance, interdisciplinary, or liberal arts.
