The Role:


We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Corporate Accounting team based in our New York City office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the month end accounting close
  • Prepare and record monthly general entries including but not limited to cash activities, accruals, amortization of prepaid expenses and deferrals
  • Reconcile, review and analyze balance sheet and income statement accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Prepare and analyze variance explanations on a monthly and quarterly basis
  • Interact with internal and external auditors and coordinate year end audits
  • Participate in projects including system developments, implementation of new products and new US GAAP reporting standards
  • Liaise with other internal department within the firm (e.g. Tax, Legal, Treasury, Financial Reporting, Product Control) globally
  • Assist in ad hoc requests
  • Implement and automate accounting processes


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting
  • Basic knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • At least three years' experience in corporate accounting, preferably with CPA
  • Attention to detail and time management are essential skills for this role
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Advance Microsoft Excel skills and prior experience with Oracle and/or Essbase
