Provide high-level administrative support to the ------------------firm's Legal Department. The candidate will provide direct assistance on highly sensitive legal and/or administrative matters. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the legal department within a financial services company, or within a small to midsize law firm. The candidate should be a team player, extremely motivated, resourceful, efficient, organized, detail-oriented, a clear communicator and able to complete tasks independently.

Responsibilities:


• Assist attorneys with capital markets documentation including sales and trading, loan trading and investment banking transaction agreements
• Organization, preparation, review of trading and client onboarding documentation. Tracking and coordination of agreement negotiations and execution. Maintenance of databases
• Ad hoc due-diligence projects.
• Qualified as a notary preferred but not required
• Arrange conference calls and meetings
• Organize and maintain calendars, including interaction with external and internal resources, from assistants to executives and board members
• Coordinate travel and prepare expense reports
• Review legal documents to ensure they are grammatically correct and in proper format containing all necessary portions or related documents
• Handle requests for information
• Organize and maintain legal and corporate files and board materials, both hard copies and electronically
• Conduct research as requested

Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree required
• Knowledge of legal terminology, appropriate English grammar, formatting of legal documents and legal correspondence etiquette
• Experience working with In-house for broker-dealer (brokerage firm/investment bank)
Or external counsel for law firm practice group
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Excellent organization skills and strong attention to detail; able to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Advanced computer skills, including use of MS Office
