The CLO research analyst will be responsible for supporting CLO Portfolio Managers with the credit and structure underwriting of US, Euro and Middle Market CLO deals for the CLO Investment Team within Global Fixed Income group at Blackrock.


  • Help manage CLO credit risk across BlackRock's active global fixed income portfolios.

  • Perform relative value credit/structure analysis within US, Euro and Middle Market CLOs.

  • Participate in recommendation of portfolio positioning across global CLO platform.

  • Perform deal documentation analysis and ESG due diligence on US, Euro and Middle Market CLO managers.

  • Identify credit risks in underlying US, Euro and Middle Market CLO portfolios.

  • Interface with modeling group to perform scenario analysis and bespoke portfolio construction.

  • Present updates on CLO market to multi-sector PMs and others throughout the global fixed income platform.


  • Minimum 5 years of relevant and/or similar experience working in fixed income markets.

  • Previous experience in the CLO market.

  • Superior financial modeling, organizational, and communication skills.

  • Ability to understand CLO deal structure and investment risks.

  • Bachelor degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or Mathematics with superior academic record.

  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of coding language is a plus.
