About the Team

TheGlobal Payment Strategy ("GPS") Product Management Team is responsible forproduct strategy, development and commercialization of both high and low valuepayments services that J.P. Morgan delivers to Financial Institution, Non-BankFinancial Institution, Corporate and Commercial Bank clients globally. These services include Direct Clearing aswell as Correspondent based settlement solutions to the client. Given the geographic footprint of the paymentbusinesses, services and clients that the Global Payment Strategy deliverableswill support, the team is deployed globally across the WHEM, EMEA and APACregions. The team is also responsiblefor the long term wholesale payment strategy of growing markets, paymentcapabilities, and client services globally for all client segments.

About the Position

The Controls Product Manager will supportthe Global Payment Strategy control agenda with a focus on global migration andvalue add services initiatives. Theindividual will be responsible for identifying and managing risks associatedwith payments activity. The ControlsProduct Manager will work closely with Product Development leads and functionalpartners, including credit, treasury, compliance, risk, GFCC, legal, andtax.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and manage solutions to mitigate payment risk and support business growth
  • Execute on control agenda, including GPS' decommissioning and value add services initiatives
  • Support client requirements through collaboration with traditional product teams
  • Ability to develop and articulate business requirements to various partners, including technology
  • Provide expertise on payment control features and processing, including but not limited to Sanctions, AML and Funds Control
  • Engage functional partners, including Risk, Compliance and Legal, to evaluate risks and ensure risk requirements are met
  • Partner with technology on system stability and resiliency plans
  • Partner with GPS team members and Product teams to identify regulatory and risk requirements
  • Partner with Global Payments Strategy program management to ensure all deliverables and projects related to the launch of the new control solutions are delivered on schedule
  • End-to-end understanding of how the Global Clearing products work, how they are used by clients and how they interact with other Core Cash Management Services


Qualifications
  • Considerable treasury services and payments experience
  • Experience in a Controls, Risk and/or Compliance function a plus
  • Strong understanding of cash controls and cash management related to global payments
  • Strong track record of delivering business results
  • Excellent verbal, written and communication skills
  • Analytical skills and attention to detail in written documentation
  • Experience with and/or prior collaboration with Sales, Risk, Operations and Technology
  • Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
  • Works well within a dynamic environment and under pressure
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint
  • May require travel
