We are the Investment Group of a well-capitalized Chinese conglomerate seeking a talented individual for a Pre-MBA Investment Analyst position located in New York City. This is a unique opportunity to work on significant transactions with one of the most active and entrepreneurial global investment teams. Our team works directly for the Board of Directors across all industries and acts very much like an internal private equity team, except without the need to fundraise. As one of the most active and present international acquirers today, we are looking to grow our team due to the high volume of deals.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Evaluating new investment proposals for their risks and likely returns, driven principally by a detailed financial analysis
  • Actively participating in and driving the due diligence process when evaluating new investment opportunities
  • Preparing material for the presentation of investment opportunities to the Investment Committee
  • Strong financial modeling, attention to detail

Required Background/Skills:

  • Full understanding of financial statements
  • Strong analytical skills, including knowledge of valuation methodologies
  • In depth experience preparing detailed financial models and company business valuations, including the linking of all 3 statements in one dynamic model
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Agile communicator, commercially minded
  • Effectively manages and prioritizes multiple projects
  • Team player
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing priorities and new challenges
  • Ability to meet deadlines and work well under pressure while taking ownership and responsibility of projects
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, discretion and good judgment
  • Willingness to travel as needed

Minimum Requirements:

  • 6 months - 2 years of related work experience in M&A investment banking, corporate development, or private equity is preferred
  • Strong financial modeling, attention to detail
  • Strong excel and PowerPoint skills
