Position Overview The Business Analyst works alongside the development team and is responsible for creating and supporting products that provide CFRA’s research and analytics to our clients. The BA will work closely with the business and technical teams to define business needs or create new business opportunities and implement innovative solutions that meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with the Product Development, Development, Project Management and QA teams
  • Identify and analyze external client and partner business needs, and translate needs into business requirements and value-added solutions
  • Develop a deep understanding of CFRA’s products and processes
  • Perform data querying and analysis to support feasibility of solutions
  • Support projects throughout the solution development life cycle, from establishing vision and scope to validating requirements in the testing phase
  • Submit final requirements for development and testing purposes
  • Validate that business requirements are met through the project’s delivery cycle
  • Review test cases and work with testing team to ensure appropriate level of testing is conducted
  • Work with onsite and non-US teams for development and testing
  • Communicate day-to-day decisions, priorities and relevant project information to appropriate levels of staff
  • Provide functional and technical insight to prioritization process for change requests
  • Assist with scope management, project planning process, and long-term strategic discussions related to clarity

  • 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis and Design

  • Exposure to user experience and user interface design
  • Experience in writing basic SQL queries for data analysis
  • BS/BA in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
