The Role: Automation Associate

Grade ( relevant for internal applicants only ): 10

The Location: New York City

The Impact: This role is responsible for creating and maintaining all automations for IMPG business users using various RPA tools. The goal of all RPA programs is to reengineer and streamline business process to improve accuracy and efficiency.

The Team: IMPG has intensive operational processes to monitor global real-time market activities and validate both internal and external market data to allow our analysts to act on those events punctually. In addition to professional financial knowledge and experience, those processes also require diligent examinations and strict scheduling. Accuracy and timing are two keys to the success of our daily operations.

In order to obtain these two keys, we have been utilizing various technologies to automate our processes wherever possible. Those technologies include but are not limited to Python, Excel VBA, Blue Prism, and WalkMe. We also use MS Access and SQLite to manage our data.

Compensation/Benefits Information (US Applicants Only):
S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $68,300 to $155,900. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and support complex processes, validations, and reports to support both index management and market management.
  • Identify opportunities and/or problems from business processes for automations.
  • Work directly with SMEs across all global regions to understand and document detailed business requirements.
  • Understand the strengths and weakness of each available technologies/ tools and determine the integration approach.
  • Understanding the business logic and re-engineer the process during implementation.
  • Develop and update technical specifications and other required documentations for RPA projects.
  • Instruct users to perform user testing across all global regions and functions and document the result.
  • Manage request queues and track business values of each RPA projects.
  • Provide technical knowledge and recommendations to index managers and market managers which technology(ies) can best meet their business needs.
  • Support and resolve any RPA production issues.
  • Work to the best result with very limited technical support and resources.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • 3+ years hands-on experiences in programming Blue Prism, WalkMe, VBA, and Python
  • Excellent understanding of Relational Database, SQL, MS office Suite, and SharePoint
  • Good knowledge of Agile methodology
  • Good technical knowledge on AWS, IIS, Azure
  • Basic financial knowledge
Minimum Degree Required: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Business or Management Information Systems or additional equivalent experience.
