Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Work with team members, including close collaboration with Trading / Sales, to leverage engineering and capital markets expertise and deliver solutions that advance the division's electronic trading goals. Employ expertise in front-office e-trading software, capital markets/client service and trading automation strategies. Participate in all electronic trading project lifecycle phases, including analysis, design, testing, research, support and maintenance. Work on projects that include writing custom software in Java and the firm's scripting language to automate trading workflow, which includes reacting to market developments by covering new trading protocols/product types and building safety controls into electronic trading systems. Maintain existing systems that enable inquiry flow for Interest Rate products. Develop mathematical models to systematize prices shown to clients.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: software engineering including working across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Quality assurance (QA), software best practices, software deployment, and understanding of peripheral requirements such as hardware and database; designing APIs that connect to different internal and external systems; developing high-performance, multi-threaded trading systems using objected-oriented programming languages such as C++ or Java on Windows or Unix; profiling and improving high-volume trading system performance; developing, implementing, and maintaining mission critical software in a high performance programming language; and applying knowledge of fixed income products. Must have one (1) year of experience with: utilizing Java programming language to develop large scale solutions; designing and building Request for Quote (RFQ) systems; and maintaining, manipulating, and analyzing large data sets with database query languages, programming languages, and data management tools, including SQL. FINRA Series 7 and 63 licenses required.
