Professionals within Legal and Compliance provide a wide range of services to our business units. They might help to structure a complex and sensitive cross-border transaction; advise on a new product introduction; develop a training program or defuse an investor dispute. Background on the Team
The Firm's Recovery and Resolution Planning Team (the "Firm RRP Team") is in the Legal and Compliance Department, led by the Head of Recovery and Resolution Planning and reports to the Global Head of Regulatory Affairs. The Firm RRP Team's primary responsibilities include the development of the Firm's resolution plan, the Firm's recovery plan, various portions of Morgan Stanley Bank, N.A.'s resolution plan and various recovery and resolution planning requirements for the UK Group. The Firm RRP Team plays a critical role in defining "resolvability" and overseeing, and in some cases leading, projects that are required to demonstrate the Firm's "resolvability". The Firm RRP Team works closely with numerous business unit and support functions throughout the Firm and leads the Firm's efforts in responding to recovery and resolution planning-related inquiries from the Firm's prudential regulators, including the Federal Reserve, FDIC, PRA and Japan FSA.

Primary Responsibilities
The Firm RRP Team is seeking to hire a qualified individual at the Associate level. This individual's responsibilities would, at a minimum, include:
Support various recovery and resolution enhancement initiatives across the Firm;
Conduct analysis (including financial and legal entity-related) to be included in the Firm's recovery and resolution plans;
Work with business units and support functions to develop, enhance and document resolution strategies;
Act as a liaison to particular business units or support functions;
Support review processes and quality assurance for internal assessments and regulatory submissions
Support the integration of resolvability efforts into "business-as-usual" practices; and
Draft and assist with regulatory submissions.

Qualifications:

Skills Required
Bachelor's degree;
3 to 5 years of relevant financial industry experience, ideally including some experience in Corporate Treasury or Risk Management;
Strong verbal and written communication skills;
Strong attention to detail;
Ability to understand and apply complex concepts;
Highly organized and timely;
Strong quantitative skills; and
Ability to work independently and problem solve.
