Associate Director, Financial Analysis & Planning
The Role: Finance Associate Director - Enterprise FP&A The Location: New York, New York Grade:12 (Relevant to internals)
The Team The candidate will be part of the Enterprise Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) team which is responsible for forecasting & budgeting financials across the company and providing S&P Global's Operating Committee and Board of Directors with relevant data and analysis to make key business and financial decisions.
The Impact This position will work to ensure timely and accurate completion of enterprise wide financial forecasting and budgets. They will work closely with divisional finance teams and various corporate groups to define deliverables and coordinate execution. Another key component of the position is creating content for presentations to the Board of Directors and Operating Committee, along with managing the company's strategic investment program. A significant portion of the role will also involve working on other strategic priorities of the group such as improving our business intelligence capabilities, delivering regular and ad hoc analysis.

  • Coordinate and led the annual operating plan for the entire SPGI enterprise
  • Perform relevant analysis and assist with preparation of presentations and dashboards to S&P Global Operating Committee and Board of Directors
  • Manage S&P Global's short and long-term incentive compensation program
  • Improve the group's business intelligence capabilities using technologies such as Tableau, Anaplan, and Qlikview
  • Support the quarterly earnings process through creation of earnings call slides in collaboration with Investor Relations, compiling financial exhibits to assist CFO and CEO, and developing knowledge around S&P's key strategic initiatives
  • Monitor and report on sentiment of sell-side community
  • Monitor and report on earnings results, guidance, and reports for competitors and various other financial services firms
Compensation/Benefits Information: S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $100,800 to $230,000. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location. Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in quantitative field (Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Math or related field)
  • 7+ years' relevant work experience in public accounting or private accounting or finance department
  • Some experience with financial forecasting and data visualization tools such as Anaplan, IBM Cognos TM1, Oracle EPM, Tableau, Alteryx, and QlikView
  • Strong communication (good verbal skills, listening techniques, and a clear, concise writing style)
  • Career oriented with desire to show career agility and intellectual curiosity
  • Problem-solving, time-management, attention to detail & organizational abilities to work efficiently with various stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and as a fully contributing member of a team
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Significant comfort level with suite of Microsoft Office products (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint Excel)
