Associate, Campus Recruiter - Human Resources

Primary Objectives:

The Campus Recruiter will assist with managing and executing Jefferies' firm-wide campus recruiting strategy. The Recruiter will work closely with the business to develop strategic relationships with colleges and universities and to ensure we can compete effectively in the market. The Recruiter will manage the execution of the recruiting strategy through planning, event execution, maintaining an active presence on campus, and candidate management. Responsibilities will include hiring for intern positions and coordinating the summer intern program; including events, reviews and full-time offers. Additionally, the recruiter will manage on-campus activities and intern hiring, and assist with summer and full-time training. The Recruiter will also serve as an HR contact for the analyst population and assist with their year-end process and the full analyst life cycle. An ideal candidate has strong excel and analytical skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of our campus recruiting strategy and enhance the organization's brand and reputation at designated universities
  • Work in coordination with leadership to develop realistic goals and recruiting plans as appropriate
  • Direct and coordinate campus recruiting activities that may include communications, on-site interviewing and other administrative details for campus recruiting
  • Develop, plan and participate as needed in campus activities such as presentations, career fairs, interviews, etc.
  • Establish relationships with key campus stakeholders, including, but not limited to: career services, faculty, and students
  • Continuously build and strengthen relationships with school teams
  • Assist in identifying and selecting candidates. The Recruiter should be able to critically evaluate candidates that have the necessary skills and interest to sustain a career
  • Record, update and analyze all recruiting data for schools and local office initiatives
  • Network within the marketplace to understand the competitive campus landscape (including compensation and program data) and make recommendations as appropriate
  • Assist in the development and implementation of the summer intern program including, but not limited to, summer intern performance evaluations, social event planning and monitoring of staffing and budgeting
  • Conduct needs assessment to determine the training curriculum for the summer interns and full-time Analysts and work closely with external vendors to deliver the training program
  • Work with the business to evaluate Analyst performance and determine compensation
  • Assist in the development and execution of diversity recruiting strategies and programs that effectively attract diverse candidates


Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three to five years of experience in a major financial services firm is preferred; work in other professional services environment or work in higher education/career services is also applicable
  • Strong client-service orientation and ability to build trusted-advisor relationships with internal clients, leadership, and colleagues
  • Knowledge of pre-hire assessment tools; Predictive Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (AI) a plus
  • Knowledge of applicant tracking systems and other data management tools desired
  • Excellent project management skills; demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong operational focus and commitment to seamless execution of campus reporting and operations
  • Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal and presentation skills; must be comfortable and confident when speaking to large populations
  • Broad knowledge of business/market opportunities, the competitive landscape, and recruiting challenges
  • Proficient in office computer software/systems (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint); working knowledge of Taleo a plus
  • Willingness to travel as needed throughout the year, especially peak campus seasons- evening and weekend work during peak seasons is also possible
