Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, NY. Serve as a Senior Software Developer within the Consumer and Commercial Banking business unit's new Credit Card platform team. Play a key role in developing scalable software for the expansion of the Consumer business by designing, developing, and modifying new and existing components to support new features as part of the a new platform. Design, develop, test and document highly reliable client and server-side systems in a structured, disciplined, and fast-moving environment. Take the lead on medium size projects that enhance the customer offering and drive technical and functional discussions in order to deliver the projects. Develop within a controlled process including design and code reviews. Support the production environment, assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents, maintain the stability and integrity of systems. Function as an integral role of a global technology team. Develop back end systems, Application Programming Interfaces (API's), using Java, Spring Boot, Apache Kafka and MongoDB. Responsible for defining, designing, coding and testing information systems. Analyze complex problems, systems, data and metrics to lead design reviews of existing and new applications and systems. Develop automated tests and work with technology users to define new application requirements using a test -driven development approach. Ensure effective implementation of systems upgrades, as well as integration of new applications in existing and new systems or dashboards. Participate in all Agile scrum ceremonies, such as standups, and provide daily updates on development progress. Communicate effectively with a team distributed across multiple global locations and escalate blockers and issues. Participate in business and product meetings and understand functional requirements first-hand. Must be willing to work with proprietary technologies. No knowledge of proprietary technologies is required pre-hire.

Job Requirements: Master's degree or Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field. Must have three (3) years of experience (if Master's) in the job offered or relevant software development role or five (5) years of experience (if Bachelor's) in the job offered or relevant software development role. Must have three (3) years of experience (if Master's) or five (5) years of experience (if Bachelor's) with each of the following: development using Java; distributed systems and multi-tier architectures and designing them in a scalable and testable way; Unix/Linux and scripting languages, such as csh, ksh and Perl; relational databases and SQL, and performance optimization; No-SQL databases such as MongoDB or equivalent; applying problem solving skills and analytical skills; data analysis, in order to debug production systems and understand system flows; full Software Development Life Cycle, including requirement initiation, definition, documentation, development, testing, go-live, post-go-live and production support; ability to communicate complex technical terms to senior team members; working as part of a multi-site, global development team/project; object-oriented design and development; producer/consumer messaging technology design and development (such as Kafka, RabbitMQ or equivalent); and developing automated tests for all development work using JUnit integration testing or Cucumber.
