RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in New York, NY. Specialist in the Fidelity National Information Services (FIS) Inc. vendor application called GMI. This application supports clearing services for listed derivative products such as futures, options on futures and equity options in order to ensure compliance with IRS Rule 871M regulations. Support on a daily basis the setup of the GMI application software and investigation into operations user inquiries. Application setup includes a complete understanding of the software profiles and configurations used in the GMI software package to control processing and data calculations. Partner with Consensys Systems technology leads to integrate the commission and fee static data setups into the GMI core DB2 database. Write software code in RPG400 to customize and enhance the GMI application for the Firm's use. Perform release testing and deployment of software changes using the Softlanding Turnover change management software package. Collaborate with global technology team members in different time zones to define technical solutions on large development projects. Meet with operations personnel to define business requirements and propose technology solutions to solve manually time-consuming tasks and reduce system errors. Lead design reviews and take accountability for several project components, including developing project plans and working directly with technology users.
Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Utilizing CL (Control Language) on the IBM Series i system to monitor job process flows and program functioning; and Integrating data into GMI commission and fee module configurations, including the key tables GMIRTCF1; GMIRTCF2; GMIFEEF1; and GMIFEEF2. Must have one (1) year of experience with: Consensys Systems integration into the FIS GMI software to ensure client configurations are correct for charging commissions and fees; and Working with derivative products processed through the GMI system in order to support the continued rollout of IRS rule 871m.
