Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Develop and apply capital structure analyses for corporate clients to determine optimal leverage and capital structure, and review same analyses produced by junior team members. Build and modify financial models and analyze balance sheet risk through Monte Carlo simulation, and review the same work produced by junior team members. Perform valuation analyses for complex deal structures such as valuation of options and Contingent Value Rights (CVRs). Curate, manipulate and maintain SQL datasets for financial and shareholder data. Analyze financial and shareholder data using statistical and machine learning methods in response to business needs, and review analyses produced by junior team members. Build and maintain tools in multiple programming languages to implement corporate finance and shareholder analytics. Liaise with software developers and engineers to build and maintain client-facing applications through which analytics developed within the team are deployed. Attend client meetings and present analyses relating to capital structure, capital allocation, shareholder behavior and shareholder activism. Provide mentoring and quantitative/technical guidance to junior team members.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related quantitative role supporting an investment banking business. Must have two (2) years of experience with: Programming in R or Python; Implementing, interpreting and presenting results from statistical and econometric models including linear and logistic regression; Machine learning methods such as experience with neural networks, clustering, or random forests; Corporate finance including theory of cost of capital and of asset pricing; Complex financial modeling in Microsoft Excel; and Complex manipulations of large (greater than one gigabyte) datasets using SQL. Must have Series 79 license. Travel required to client sites 15% of the time.
