Work Schedule: 40 hours per week (9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.)

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in New York, NY. Working closely with the Senior Analyst, the goal of the Associate is to perform: Equity research covering the Oil Service sector and leverage knowledge of the industry to perform research on covered companies; Conduct financial statement analysis and financial modeling, including experience accounting for M&A, international and state taxation, stock options and changes in capital structure; Utilize technical knowledge of petroleum engineering processes to analyze company-specific business models and the competitive landscape, with a focus on Oil Service industry; Utilize knowledge of other energy sub-sectors including upstream, midstream and semiconductor supply chain dynamics and statistic techniques to analyze impacts on Oil Services; Contribute to the generation and execution of investment ideas for the Oil Services space; Conduct valuation analyses to develop absolute valuation methodologies, relative valuation methodologies (including with normalized valuation frameworks), calculation of returns on investment, sensitivity analyses, and capital structure analyses; Build, update, and maintain detailed financial models for companies under coverage; Write reports/notes on companies under coverage and related companies; Communicate with the equities sales force and traders, clients and company managements; Interpret data and perform analysis on market, economic and technology trends; Utilize advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel (including logic functions, data tables and regression analysis), PowerPoint and Word;Utilize financial databases including FactSet, Bloomberg, and Thomson Reuters EIKON.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's Degree (U.S or Foreign equivalent) in Finance or related field. Three (3) years of experience in the job offered or in a related equity research role covering the oil service sector. Prior experience must include three (3) years: Direct energy (oilfield) industry experience and/or oil and gas equity coverage experience; Conducting financial statement analysis and financial modeling, including experience accounting for M&A, international and state taxation, stock options and changes in capital structure; Conducting valuation analyses to develop absolute valuation methodologies, relative valuation methodologies (including with normalized valuation frameworks), calculation of returns on investment, sensitivity analyses, and capital structure analyses; Utilizing technical knowledge of petroleum engineering processes to analyze company-specific business models and the competitive landscape, with a focus on oil service industry; Writing reports/notes on companies under coverage and related companies; Utilizing advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel (including logic functions, data tables and regression analysis), PowerPoint and Word. Prior experience must also include two (2) years: Advanced knowledge of data analytics and financial databases including FactSet, Bloomberg, EIKON and market specific databases like Enverus, IHS and others; Working on direct energy sectors, including oil and gas.

FINRA Series 7, 63, 86, 87 licenses required.
Travel 5% of the time to attend industry conferences
