Assistant Director - Senior Software Engineer - Java

The engineering team you will be joining operates more like a start-up than might be expected from the well-established, financially stable firm that we are. We practice agile development (fast iterations, continuous integration, automated testing and build processes). Role / Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Senior Java Engineer who has good background on working with data will help us shape core products and extend existing solutions as part of our agile development team. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a dynamic team where your contributions truly matter. Your responsibilities will include:
• Design, implementation, and deployment of highly scalable and reliable systems
• Researching and proposing new techniques and methodologies
• Working closely with the engineering, business and user experience teams to implement user stories

Required Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related field or relevant certificate
• Solid understanding of Object Oriented Programming, Data Structures.
• 5+ years of java core and java2ee experience
• Proficiency with relational databases / SQL development
• Proficiency with any one of NoSql Databases.
• Experience with Big Data Technologies (Spark/Hadoop) is a plus.
• Ability to solve complicated problems with simple solutions
• Working knowledge of middleware technologies
• Excellent listening, verbal and English communication

• Experience with one or more back-end programming languages (Java preferred, Python etc.)
