Your role
Do you have sound knowledge of investment products? Are you passionate about macroeconomics and the financial markets? We are looking for someone like to that to:
• chair Investment Solutions' weekly fixed income research working group and drive trade ideas within fixed income
• drive the team's fixed income research agenda
• contribute to the weekly Investment Committee research meetings and articulate the fixed income view
• participate in cross-asset class research group and the team's asset allocation and investment research calls
• work with members of asset allocation team to determine fixed income-relevant inputs into team's asset allocation and valuation models
• generate top-down multi-asset trade ideas, with a particular focus on fixed income markets
• conduct macroeconomic research to inform investment decision making process
• contribute to asset allocation team's analysis of trends, valuations and other investment signals
• undertake strategic asset allocation exercises as part of our advisory offering
• collaborate with portfolio management team and investment specialist team in designing bespoke solutions for clients
• contribute to thought pieces on asset allocation and macroeconomics
• represent the SAA and TAA views of the global Asset Allocation team to internal and external stakeholders, including media outlets
• be the subject matter expert on asset allocation in client and prospect meetings

Your team
Investment Solutions is a global investment function at UBS AM responsible for a ~100bn CHF product shelf including benchmark relative, income, growth, absolute return, multi component and risk management solutions. The team is based in Chicago, New York, London, Zurich and Hong Kong. The team comprises of sub-teams including Asset Allocation, Alpha Capture, Portfolio Management, Implementation, Analytics and Modelling. There are many other critical teams we work alongside and of particular note are the Investment Specialists who represent Investment Solutions to clients.

Your experience and skills
• degree educated; a post-graduate qualification, investment management qualification and/or the CFA designation are a plus
• ideally at least ten years' of multi-asset or fixed income investment experience with thorough understanding of relevant investment concepts
• excellent knowledge of macroeconomics as well as theoretical and practical knowledge of asset allocation
• knowledge in econometric analysis of fixed income (cointegration, Nelson-Siegel interpolation, Kim-Wright term premium decomposition, Laubach-Williams natural rate analysis) and practice with statistical software
• structured and process-oriented approach to investing
• risk management expertise
• team player with good interpersonal skills
• able to work with limited supervision
