Application Support Analyst

The Role As a Support Analyst within our Shared Service (SST) Production Services team, you will be responsible for the maintenance, support, and operations of core software applications. This includes ensuring functionality of applications are aligned with the organization's priorities and enabling team is responsible for application support, incident, problem, change, and SCM. Our team will work closely with the application development organization on the implementation of changes to production and will be responsible for ongoing operations of the production applications. Key Responsibilities: Supporting on-premise EBI Shared service platform (multiple BI Platforms - Business Object , Tableau , Jasper , WebFocus). Responsible for upgrades, migration, installation, configuration, delivering end to end reporting initiatives for EBI Shared Service Platform. Reconfiguring/resize the platform as required operating in full shared service model. Resolved environment support requests / issues reported by LOBs. Server administration of the platform - alter/modify server setup based on current capacity of the platform, applying patch, service packs, fixes to the platform as advised by vendor ad internal security scan teams, support for platform upgrade time to time as per bank's prevailing standards, platform health checks and monitoring. User security administration of the Platform. Promote contents between environments (Reports, Universes, Users /Groups, Security, Business Views, Server groups, Publications etc.). Prepare documents on new implementations, user guide, security setup documents, and content promotions docs using LCM. Review on-boarding questionnaire. Support / facilitate on-boarding of new LOBs to the platform. Provide technical expertise & know-how through demos/discussions with LOB stakeholders during pre-on boarding discussions. Research and provide inputs through JIRA for special environment feature implementation requirements/tool limitation investigations as requested by LOB. Providing guidance to LOB Admins for managing their content. Performs complex troubleshooting as a subject matter expert in one or more applications. Works to ensure appropriate monitoring and alerting setup. Works on root cause analysis and problem management to address underlying technical issues. Collaborates with business and application development stakeholders. Monitors changes to applications and their operating environment. Analyzes any complex issues. Recommends technical solutions on application problems. Reviews and develops updates of contingency documentation and processes. Reviews and analyzes product migrations through all systems environments. May review and execute Change Management scripts. Contributes to incident resolution for high priority incidents. May mentor or provide guidance for junior team members. Contributes to the achievement of related teams' objectives MODIFIED BASED UPON LOCAL REGULATIONS/REQUIREMENTS Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial. 6-8 years of diverse experience in information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree is beneficial. 6-8 years of diverse experience in information technology required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Expert knowledge on Business Objects, Tableau and Jasper Administration.
