Provide restructuring analysis and develop valuations of stressed and distressed situations for sale and regulatory reporting purposes. Perform comprehensive fundamental analysis on distressed corporate client portfolio within Citi's institutional client portfolio. Review financial and operational performance and research sector, industry, and economic environment to assess impact.  Build financial models reflecting financial positions and determine appropriate debt structure and debt value using valuation methodologies. Create complex discounted cash flow models to determine the enterprise value of the company and property in question. Assess liquidity, debt capacity and other areas of financial and operating performance to evaluate areas of weakness and potential for turnaround.  Assist senior restructuring bankers on active restructuring/workouts including interfacing with 3 rd party lenders/syndicate members, financial advisors and external counsel.  

Prioritize account coverage and provide analytical leadership with regard to valuation and classification reviews to ensure functional consistency. Review and verify the accuracy of valuations and classification analysis. Staffing responsibilities which including coordinating and managing projects affecting the Analytics Team, and approve valuation and classification analysis Assist in development and creation of Citi's Institutional Remedial Management's stress loss estimation as part of the CCAR process.   Manage and coordinate responses to questions raised during reviews by internal and external auditors as well as  Citigroup's regulatory agencies.   

Targeted career progression towards expanded transactional responsibilities with greater direct client facing tasks/activities. 


Minimum Required Education/Core Experience:
Must have a Master's degree in Finance or closely related field and 2 years of analytical experience in investment banking, corporate banking or credit risk. Will accept a Bachelor's degree in Finance or closely related field and 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in investment banking, corporate banking or credit risk management

Minimum Required Special Skills:
Prior work experience must include:
  • building restructuring and valuation models using Discounted Cash Flow, Comparable Valuation Multiple and Internal Rate of Return analyses, Bloomberg and Factset;
  • assessing financial and operating performing including free cash flow generation, liquidity and debt capacity;
  • building enterprise valuation models for Write-off, Reserve and Risk of Loss determination; &
  • performing credit risk analysis including assigning credit classification, triggers, and restructuring options.
