The BI Learning Collective is a new construct for BI LLT&C and will evolve over the next few years. In the shorter term (6 months-1 year) the role requires someone who will be actively involved in and focused on setting up the basics of the Learning function (processes and toolkits required to execute leadership and learning offerings, systems and platforms requirements /service standards and overall governance structures) for Barclays International.

Key Accountabilities

  • Creation and implementation of 3-year Learning Strategy for BI working in conjunction with the Learning Collective, the HRBPs and the Business
  • Set up and deploy Learning Infrastructure (governance, processes, toolkits, systems, MI and communication)
  • Accountable executive for the delivery/execution and workload management of Leadership & Learning offerings
  • Act as point of contact for HRBPs, other specialist teams in HR (e.g. Employee Relations, Diversity) and the Business on Learning questions and requests
  • Ensure execution of Leadership and Learning collateral (including demand planning, communication, programme execution and reporting
  • Manage and Execute BI wide Programmes
  • Oversee end-to-end programme management of learning programs covering employees from across Barclays International. This includes stakeholder management (business, HRBPs), project planning, liaising with HRBPs/Business/participants/Learning Services, vendor management. Depending on size/scope of programmes this role may be the project manager or delegate to other members of the team.

The role will require interaction with a broad range of stakeholders both within HR and other areas of BI including Finance. It is a global role and the individual will work across teams and regions. The role holder will need to establish good working relationships and have good stakeholder management skills to ensure the book of work is managed appropriately and to a high quality.

  • Experience operationalizing and scaling blended learning curriculums across a number of different business with historically different approaches to designing and deploying development

  • Able to challenge effectively - articulating rationales concisely to senior management i
  • Process improvement experience - involving systems, various internal teams, multiple geographies and handoffs
  • Knowledge of industry best practice training techniques, learning methodologies and external training providers and consultants
  • In-depth knowledge of training evaluation methods
  • Knowledge of Learning Management Systems (Knowledge of SaaS systems, ideally Success Factors)

Basic Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of overall experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in Human Resources or Learning and Development function
