Job Description:

  • Analyze leveraged finance transactions including LBOs, M&A financing, best efforts, buy and holds, re-pricings, FX/IR/commodity derivatives, transaction banking, etc
  • Lead individual transactions and manage deal process within respective industry under the overall guidance of a sector head and provide credit recommendations / present to CRM underwriters
  • Build relationships with front office colleagues communicating point of view and offering solutions
  • Portfolio management: ongoing quarterly portfolio monitoring for assigned counterparties, analysis of limit framework, industry sectors, and overall portfolio performance
  • Maintain data integrity for all names / transactions in IT systems
  • Management of and participation in diverse internal projects that improve efficiencies
  • Provide guidance and training to junior CRM colleagues
  • When required defend credit rationale and ratings to internal and / or external regulators

Requirements:

  • Previous relevant credit analysis experience with at least part in non-investment grade credit lending
  • Strong accounting and credit risk analysis skills including leveraged loan and high yield structures, financial modeling/forecasting, and understanding of derivative structures
  • History of managing deal processes with accelerated timelines and teams comprised of individuals from different groups combined with ability to multi task across multiple simultaneous live transactions
  • Strong understanding of market and regulatory standards with an ability to assess credit structures and documentation and suggest appropriate changes
  • Good knowledge of a range of commercial banking products and associated documentation, such as IRS, FX, Cash management, and Trade finance products
  • Business line structuring and/or workout experience as well as debt capital markets knowledge a plus but not required
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
