A leading independent investment bank is seeking a Senior Analyst or Junior Associate to join its Technology Investment Banking team in New York. This is an opportunity to work alongside senior bankers on a wide range of high-profile M&A, strategic advisory for innovative technology companies across various subsectors.
The team is highly active and offers significant client exposure, transaction responsibility, and a collaborative environment where junior professionals are given the opportunity to develop both technical and client-facing skills. The ideal candidate will have prior investment banking experience, strong financial modeling capabilities, and a demonstrated interest in the technology sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of mergers & acquisitions, strategic advisory, and capital raising transactions
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, including valuation analyses, merger models, and operating models
- Prepare client presentations, pitch materials, confidential information memoranda, and management presentations
- Conduct industry, company, and market research across various technology subsectors
- Participate in due diligence processes and transaction execution workstreams
- Interact directly with clients, senior bankers, legal counsel, accountants, and other transaction stakeholders
- Assist in managing transaction timelines and coordinating deal processes from inception through closing
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior team members when appropriate
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of investment banking experience at a bulge bracket, elite boutique, middle market investment bank, or relevant advisory firm
- Experience executing M&A transactions and/or capital raising assignments
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, and analytical skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Interest in technology and technology-enabled businesses
- Bachelor's degree with a strong academic record
