Position Summary:

 

RT Specialty, a division of Ryan Specialty Group is looking for a Field Marketing Representative to join our office in Buffalo, NY. We are a fast paced, energetic and rapidly growing organization that offers a great opportunity for someone interested in further developing their career. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the insurance industry with existing independent broker relationships.

 

Essential Functions:

 

  • Business development with independent insurance brokers across our entire territory, including New York State and the Northeast, with a focus on Eastern NYS.
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies for both existing and prospective customer base.
  • Developing new and fostering existing relationships with independent retail insurance producers to develop quote activity which will lead to achieving monthly premium goals.
  • Developing comprehensive marketing plan to facilitate current business growth initiatives, as well as comprehensive analysis of competitors in the Downstate NY area and other parts of the Northeast.
  • Analyzing market trends to evaluate, develop and implement strategic plans to meet and exceed organizational goals.

 

 




Profile:

Education/Experience/Skills:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Psychology or Business is preferred, but not required.
  • Must possess strong computer/technology/systems skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office including, but not limited to Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills are required.
  • Strong ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to manage workload with minimal supervision.
  • Proven track record of being a team player.
  • Must be open to significant business travel as determined by the needs of the business.
