-act as the representative of the Data Management Office (DMO) and be accountable for the delivery of the DMO lineage team's commitments across a portfolio of regulatory and strategic programs in the US
-ensure timely completion of program governance – project plan management, project status reporting, risk and issue management, tollgate evidencing and resource forecasting / actuals review
-develop plans in partnership with the global lineage teams and other areas in the Data Management Office for delivery of additional work across existing and new programs in
-build productive collaborative relationships with senior program and divisional stakeholders, providing education on the DMO methodology, ensuring consistent standards are applied across regulatory initiatives and the DMO delivery is aligned and complementary to work in other areas of the bank – for example Model Governance
-produce content on delivery progress and approach that can be used for executive reporting and in regulatory updates
-partner with DMO lineage leads to ensure delivery risks are minimized and the collective team is operating in the most effective manner
-develop compelling metrics to support the DMO value proposition and 'value for money' to Program sponsors
You will be working in Group Operations within the Data Management Office (DMO). This role sits within the Data Lineage team, which operates out of Weehawken, London, Bangalore and Pune. The Data Lineage team is responsible for working directly with divisional subject matter experts, in both the business and IT, to map data flows in the organization and populate and maintain the group data dictionary. The DMO is responsible for embedding a data management culture into the organization by advocating for our strategy and proactively challenging the way the firm works with data. The DMO is made up of approximately 100 people, comprising UBS permanent staff, contractors and consultants.
-at least 10 years of experience in Financial Services, with a strong understanding of Risk and / or Financial Data. Knowledge of Banking or Capital Markets and familiar with current regulations such as BCBS 239, IFRS, CCAR, and an understanding of application data governance and data management (desirable, but not essential)
-proven change management experience demonstrated through the successful delivery of large complex global initiatives delivered against tight deadlines, using a structured and organized approach to your work
-strong interpersonal skills with evidence of managing and influencing senior stakeholders. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels.
-Comfortable with ambiguity and operating in a dynamic changing environment
