Core PM Separately Managed Account (SMA) sits within BlackRock's Portfolio Management Group and play a central role in that purpose. We partner with investment teams within BlackRock and are responsible for SMA implementation, model portfolio delivery and models portfolio servicing. We are seeking a highly motivated individual as a Lead for Models' Servicing in a growth initiative to join our team in the Princeton, NJ office!

Why is your role important?

As the Models Servicing Lead, you are directly responsible for building out alignment of models surround sound, information distribution function for models, and partnering with the lead of Models. We are looking for candidates with a proven history of working both independently and as part of a team in a highly collaborative environment. In addition to having a passion for markets and investing, a successful candidate will bring robust technology skills and problem solving skills to help develop and drive efficiencies and automation, while providing fresh perspectives on ways to increase scale across a dynamic and multi-faceted business. Additionally, you will need exceptional communication skills and the ability to form positive relationships and work across the organization.

What will you be doing?

  • Partner with Models Transmission Lead to establish clear inventory, governance, and oversight of all model and SMA materials

  • Oversee quality control for all surround sound materials/master inventory MASS and SMA

  • Inventory all client deliverables for SMA and models

  • Partner with COO on GIPS set up for new strategies

  • Maintain contact cards for all existing collateral to facilitate consistency and single source of data

  • Drive increased use of technology and analytical tools to improve scale, streamline platform deliverables, and enhance controls

  • Work alongside internal partners for new investment strategy and/or new distribution relationships launches

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in Business, Finance or equivalent demonstrated professional experience

  • Problem solving ability to think logically and deconstruct a larger problem into sub-components and prioritize

  • Process/project management: effective project management capabilities with the ability to set guidance, delegate, manage to deadlines, solve problems, and navigate trade-offs

  • Positive attitude: team player with high level of motivation and inquisitiveness, comfort with ambiguity and the ability to function well under stress or time pressure

  • Independent: high level of self-motivation, able to own and drive multiple assignments at once and willing to respectfully debate the status quo

  • Intellectual curiosity: interested in the industry and looking to learn more about asset management, investment vehicles, and scale across BlackRock

  • Good judgment: ability to take prudent risks acting always as a fiduciary for our clients and our firm.

  • Candidate must demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and keen interest in the markets, as well as significant understanding of the separate account and model management process, mutual funds and ETFs

  • Technical, problem solving, and analytical skills are essential. Organized and detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated record of flexibility, responsiveness, and self-starting personality with a proven track record to innovate

  • Series 7 and Series 66 preferred; or required to obtain soon after hire
