Senior Director, Corporate Segment Controllership (Hybrid)

The Senior Director, Corporate Segment Controllership will take a key finance leadership role in the Global Accounting Operations Organization at Broadridge Financial Solutions. The role will report into the VP, Accounting Operations Controller and will work closely with the Segment Controllers as well as leadership across FP&A, Shared Services, Treasury, Technology, HR, Sales & Marketing, as well as other areas within the business units. He/She will be required to be an excellent presenter (written and verbal) and clearly communicate to executive audiences.

We are made up of high performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work from home.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure a timely, accurate and complete accounting close across the Corporate Segment while ensuring strong internal control environment.
  • Partner with corporate technology finance leadership as well as technology within the business to understand hardware/software licensing arrangements as well as Data Centers and impact on accounting treatment.
  • Engage with procurement and technology leadership early in the renewal process for SW/HW agreements and provide guidance to help optimize contract structure to yield improved cash flow benefits for BR.
  • Provide accounting leadership and support for corporate departments; Finance, HR, Legal, Strategy, Sales, Marketing, Technology, and Procurement.
  • Partner with Center of Excellence (COE) to ensure continuous process improvement in all accounting areas impacting the Corporate Segment.
  • Perform monthly Balance Sheet and P&L review for the Corporate Segment to ensure accuracy.
  • Manage global blackline reconciliation policy and ensure individuals and segments are in compliance.
  • Manage BR Foundation financials and quarterly review with Foundation Trustees.
  • Participate and be a key stakeholder in BR's Digital Transformation Project.
  • Lead a high caliber Corporate Segment Controllership team by retaining and attracting top talent, assessing and addressing individual and group needs, communicating well, and driving high levels of engagement.

Preferred Background & Skills
  • Accomplished business and finance leader with a consistent record of high performance, financial, strategic and operational leadership across corporate and technology business segments.
  • Excellent analytical, financial and business management skills with deep understanding of B/S, P&L, and C/F statements.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and corporate accounting policies and ability to evolve processes to keep in step with the business strategy and growth.
  • Strong project management, change management and reconciliation skills.
  • Outstanding ability to communicate and break down complex ideas into understandable and actionable messages.

Qualifications/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting
  • 10+ years experience, preferably in a controllership function
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP
  • Strong project management, problem solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders
  • Oracle Cloud ERP experience desired
