Job Description

The Audit Manager is accountable for overseeing the planning and execution for audits covering discrete business units or functional corporate areas. The job will also oversee the Audit team performing the audits.


Execute on global audit strategies for two Centers of Excellence ("COE"): Fraud and Payments.

Socialize and educate others in the organization on COE strategy.

Stay abreast of industry updates and emerging risks as it relates to payments and fraud and recommend adjustments accordingly.

Execute audit related activities of Financial Crimes and Fraud Management Group and other payment related areas;

Ensure audit work is in line with TD General Audit Methodology and other relevant standards;

Execute against broader team audit plan to ensure team milestones and deadlines are met;

Identify improvement opportunities/process improvements and execute on recommendations to leading change.

Liaise with audited business to maintain positive and transparent working relationship;

Communicate and follow up on issues and potential issues with stakeholders in a clear, concise and timely manner;

Meet utilization, training hours and other key performance indicator targets;

Liaise with other TD groups as an ambassador for the Internal Audit division and participate in other corporate initiatives;

Provide ad-hoc support to People Manager and others to ensure success of the team and division.

Contributes to the Audit planning process for specific businesses/ functional units, including audit plans, resource requirements and budgets

Has overall responsibility for completion of audits. Plans and leads audits and oversees staff working on multiple audits, forming conclusions, communicating scope/findings to business line.

Performs testing of critical areas of audit. Performs review of audit documentation. Oversees findings follow up and issue validation.

Ensures audits are executed and completed in accordance with established standards and within prescribed time, budget and scope parameters to ensure deadlines are met

Oversees a small to medium sized team assigned to a given audit and provide coaching and feedback on performance throughout the audit

Evaluates internal and external risks for assigned business lines and/or functions utilizing their subject matter expertise.

Acts as primary contact with management regarding audit scope, findings and status

Must be eligible for employment under regulatory standards applicable to the position.


Bachelor's degree required
Advanced degree preferred
8+ years related experience required
PC skills (MS Office Suite)

Ensure resources are effectively utilized to achieve target utilization rates
