RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Work as a developer on a global team responsible for mobile and productivity applications that are integral to the entire Firm using primarily Java and RDMS databases. Assist in the diagnosis and resolution of incidents while maintaining the stability and integrity of Goldman Sachs' systems. Work directly with application Product Managers to define application requirements and resolve project issues. Responsible for end-to-end systems development cycle from requirements analysis, coding, testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT) through maintenance of productivity applications. Enhance and update existing applications to improve reliability, stability and increase productivity. Develop technical specifications, high level/detailed design, test and implementation plans from business requirements. Provide technical guidance and leadership to junior teammates.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems or a related field. Seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have seven (7) years of experience with: Object-oriented application development in Java , REST, and SOAP web services and programming in the Linux and Windows environments and shell scripting. Must have five (5) years of experience with: RDBMS databases, such as Sybase, and NOSQL databases, including MongoDB; continuous integration and release with build tools, such as Maven/Gradle; and software architecture and design of highly scalable solutions for multiple regions. Must have four (4) years of experience with: Java NIO frameworks (including NETTY or MINA), Java Security and crytopgraphy, Spring framework, and Hibernate; working concurrently on multiple projects, managing business priorities and communicating effectively with stakeholders; working on a global software development team and communicating status/design effectively across regions/other teams; gathering requirements from product managers and end users; and mentoring junior developers. Must have three (3) years of experience with Asynchronous programming using Scala, akka actors, Java concurrency, and multi-threading.
