What we are looking for: Highly motivated team player that is organized, able to manage complex sales situations and execute on annual production goals related to the bank trust community. Consultative sales process that identifies the needs, reviews organizational structure, entity formation, business economics and appropriate technology solutions. Lead the entire sales process, including facilitating and coordinating related onboarding documentation, transition resource team, and asset realization. Proven experience and ability to prospect new custody opportunities, specifically in the bank trust channels as well as fee-based independent investment advisors. Create and execute on business development strategies that generate leads, as well as maintain and expand referral sources. Establish relationships with prospective advisors, provides consultation and education regarding independence. Effectively coordinates necessary internal and external resource partners in a consultative process to determine optimal solutions that benefit the prospect. Tracks and reports out on business development efforts. Manages the creation of proformas for prospects. Do you have an ability to: Be an entrepreneurial self-starter; have an ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively within a high performing team structure. Demonstrated success selling to or working with bank trust entities, including technical sales, solutions development and/or new business development. Incite enthusiasm, influence, and motivate business partners to accomplish objectives. Incorporate needs, wants and goals from different prospects and target audiences into marketing and sales strategies. Participate in external professional organizations and affinity groups within BNY Mellon to expand network of business contacts. Utilize interpersonal styles and communicate effectively and professionally, both verbal and in writing across all organizational levels to accomplish objectives. Qualifications Bachelors degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Advanced/graduate degree preferred. 10-12 years of total work experience preferred. Financial Services experience with a particular client type or product (Hedge, Pension, etc.) preferred as is prior experience in a related customer-facing role, Sales Support, Global Capital Markets or Product Management. Applicable local/regional licenses or certifications as required by the business. A good understanding of the relevant marketplace, competitive landscape and industry drivers in the relevant region is preferred. As global firm, bi-lingual capabilities are helpful as is an understanding of local/cultural nuances important for client trust.
