Clearing, Markets & Issuer Services Technology (CMIST) is responsible for application development and support for more than 350 critical business systems including Repo Edge (collateral management), Enterprise Payment Hub (multi-currency payment processing), and Broker Dealer Clearance (securities clearing).
Treasury Services Technology (TST) within CMIST leads the development and maintenance of state-of-the-art technology solutions for the Treasury Services business. TST is aligned with the business into five sub-segments including: Global Payments, Information & Liquidity, Payments and Receivables, Enterprise Financial Messaging (EFM) and Trade Services. Because of TST's industry-leading solutions, BNY Mellon is the first bank to participate in Real-Time Payments processing and provide full transparency into the status of payments.
Enterprise Financial Messaging (EFM) Core Messaging Applications (CMA) group a part of TST provides development, maintenance, and support of 5 diverse gateway applications which exchange messages with external financial networks including FED, CHIPS, and SWIFT. These gateway applications service the financial transactions of multiple back-office applications and lines of business, with average daily volumes over 2.5M transactions, with aggregate value in the Trillions ($) daily.
This role will contribute substantially across the CMA application suite by providing design, code, test, and documentation, and knowledge transfer services, in collaboration with EFM partner groups, and partner business organizations to effectively meet application requirements of approved client change requests.

Provides application software development services or technical support in situations of moderate complexity. May also be responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Has thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conducts reviews of the test Plan and test Data.
Roles & Responsibilities:
•Writes new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic application system designs and specifications, utilizing BNY Mellon's standard development methodology, procedures and techniques.
•Designs, codes program, creates test transactions and runs tests to find errors and remediate them. Prepares the final and detailed versions of system modification requirements; ensures turnovers are done on time and correctly.
•Interfaces with architects to design, code, test and implement application programs.
•Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems.
•Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions.

Specialist Developer->> Provides application software development services or technical support in more complex situations. May also be responsible for requirements gathering and BRD/SRD preparation. Has thorough knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle. Conducts reviews of the test Plan and test Data. May allocate/ coordinate work within a team/project. Analyzes, defines and documents requirements for data, workflow, logical processes, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks, controls, and outputs using BNY Mellon's standard development methodology. Coordinates coding, testing, implementation and documentation of solution. Ensures that expected application performance levels are achieved. Contributes to defining time tables and project plans. Analyzes and estimates feasibility, cost, time, and compatibility with hardware and other programs. Conducts analysis of organizational needs and goals for the development and implementation of application systems. Proposes innovative, creative technology solutions.
