The Referential Controls Analyst role was implemented to facilitate handling multiple obligatory activities which are essential to the US platform in support of referential functions that have been either near or off shored.

Business Overview:
CIB ITO Client Management is a global IT and Operations (ITO) group responsible for providing services across all the CIB Business Lines, which include Due Diligence services (new client Due Diligence, Recertification), Client Service, and Client Referential Data Management. Client Management (CLM) also provides support to a number of global functions, namely Legal, Compliance and Product Control, as well as for cross-business activities such as P&L management and customer relationship management.

The CIB ITO Client Management MACH (Managing Change) team plays a leadership role in studies, transformation projects, and other change management activities across CLM as well as at a Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) level.  Additionally, MACH is responsible for referential controls including the IHC Data Steward role.  Globally, the MACH team consists of 67 staff (mainly based in Paris and London) and reports directly to the CIB ITO Client Management COO and is represented in the CLM Executive Committee. Locally, the MACH North America team is based in New York and reports to the CIB ITO Client Management COO North America.


Responsibilities:
The Referential Controls Analyst role was implemented to facilitate handling multiple obligatory activities which are essential to the US platform in support of referential functions that have been either near or off shored.
In this context, the Referential Controls Analyst works closely with the CLM Data Steward, Deputy Data Steward and the Referential Managers in Montreal and Mumbai.

• Perform system reconciliations related to US platforms Referential Data scope and follow up/report on any exceptions noted.
• Liaise with nearshore/offshore teams in the remediation of Referential Data issues
• Perform daily OFAC screenings and ad hoc legal searches request
• Remediate return mail as it relates to counterparty confirmations, statements and regulatory notifications.
• Provide clear and concise status updates and statistics to local management.
• Involvement in regulatory projects impacting US Referential Data.
• Facilitate the creation of various ad hoc reports based on applications under Client Management control.
• Participate in the Regulatory mailing process.
• Participate in nominal UAT & BCP testing.
• Coordinate mailing of BNP Securities Corporation & Prime Brokerage Incorporated client notifications.
• Maintain firms SBO/OIC Exit report & Email notifications
• Participate in Referential groups KPI & KRI reporting.
• Submit ad hoc referential change request via the platforms workflow tool to the Banks global reference database and other associated referential and settlement systems.
• Follow up on SBO/RM account reassignments as part of the exit process
• Support the CLM Data Steward and Deputy Data Steward in the completion of data quality related projects/tasks
• Support RMPM Correspondent activities as needed


Minimum required qualifications
- Degree in Business, Finance or other relevant field. Computer science knowledge is an added advantage
- Experience in business and data analysis and process improvement.
- Banking specific knowledge and experience in operational functions

Preferred qualifications:
- Exposure to client Referential Data topics, Due Diligence and Client Service
- Exposure to multiple business units in BNPP’s environment to understand the linkages and dependencies
