BNY Mellon application development ecosystem. This candidate should bring a passion and dedication to building platforms and solving problems that directly impact thousands of developers globally. The candidate must be passionate about building scalable, reliable and easy to use systems that integrate seamlessly, providing efficiency and productivity gains for our development community. Must have a proficiency with Linux, understating the essential commands, system operations and storage management of the OS. Strong scripting and/or NiFi experience would be tremendously helpful. Agile team experience is a must, bringing ownership and accountability as a part of their core offerings to the team, in addition to their technical competency. Acts as SCM technical expert, responsible for defining the overall technical direction of the SCM department. Defines SCM plans and scripts/programs for the most complex configurations. Standardizes the use of tools, technology and/or business expertise in relationship to SCM approaches. Assists in defining standards, processes and procedures for the use of technology within the department. Defines and approves the process for metrics collection and analysis across all applications. Analyzes data and produces progress reports for strategic projects. Makes recommendations to improve efficiencies and outcomes. Interacts directly with clients and upper management regarding project activities. Contributes to the achievement of Software Configuration/Release Management objectives. Qualifications Candidate should have: • 10+ years of experience in developing enterprise platform and/or systems. • Deep technical competency of OS and infrastructure hardware • Proficient software development experience in Python and Java • Demonstrated experience in object oriented analysis and design • Experience in developer tooling integration (e.g., DevOps, Gitlab, Jira, etc) • Demonstrated quality and excellence for quality and continuous improvement • Pro-active and self motivated Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, advanced degree is preferred 10-12 years of experience in a systems SCM environment, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
