RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Build strategic relationships with stakeholders to define future change projects for the firm's Operations division. Perform strategic analysis to define future state opportunities including efficiencies and synergies across multiple teams. Support the delivery of complex Asset Management Operations projects across all typical project phases: project initiation and scoping, including definition of plans and setting and managing expectations for delivery with project stakeholders; business analysis and requirements definition; testing and implementation, in particular user acceptance testing. Ongoing project management, including progress monitoring, reporting and quality assurance throughout the project. Build strong relationships with project sponsors and stakeholders in Operations, Technology, and the Business. Understand the firm's and Operations' strategic plans, business, and processes in order to influence design and develop solutions. Assess and streamline processes in order to mitigate risk, cost, or service issues and generate efficiencies.

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field. Two and a half (2.5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related projected management or consulting role for a large financial services institution. Prior work experience must include two and a half (2.5) years' experience with: project management and business analysis related to regulatory, business process, or technology change in financial operations, including using Waterfall and Agile project management methodologies; hosting steering group meetings and effectively communicating project status, risks, and issues to senior management; managing a project through the entire Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC); defining formal business requirements to be consumed by technology for product development in financial operations; leading cross-divisional working groups of at least 15 people, spanning operations, technology, legal and compliance; working effectively across global teams in the U.S., Europe, and Asia to drive business change and implement technology solutions that account for regional nuances; partnering with senior management to define the initial project scope and obtain the appropriate approvals to move the project forward; designing testing documents, executing test scripts, coordinating testing activities, and analyzing post production implementation; using standard Microsoft tools including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint to track project status and utilizing Pivot tables and V-look ups to manage large datasets; identifying risks inherent in business process and driving initiatives to design controls to mitigate risk; leveraging core project management principles such as scope, time, quality, documenting proposed benefits, communication and stakeholder management to ensure proper project delivery; utilizing business process mapping methodologies and tools for business processing documentation to identify operational inefficiencies and control gaps leveraging tools such as Signavio; working on projects related to operations cash management and liquidity reporting; managing projects to redesign internal processes and external vendor feeds; understanding of key client reference data concepts including client entity role assignments within the asset management industry.
