TSG Data Center ApplicationServices team is looking for a highly motivated Network/DevOps Engineer with experience in Cisco Systems DataCenter products, solutions and technologies. Programming of NetworkInfrastructure components. You will work closely with the Engineering teams todevelop automated approaches to manual tasks thus by reducing time to deliverand risk of misconfiguration. This person will also work closely with theCompute and Storage teams to build upon this automation to automate the overallprovisioning to reduce time to build.



Key Responsibilities:


  • Architect, Design and Configure Data Center network infrastructure.

  • Take infrastructure projects from start to finish and turnover toProduction Services team.

  • Analyze and apply advanced methods, theories, andresearch techniques in the investigation of complex networking problems.

  • Integrate automation solutions into existing networkinfrastructures to help increase efficiency in network operations.

  • Test vendor and open source solutions and products in alab environment.

  • Plan and conduct major technical phases of significantprojects by coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and theperformance of assigned projects.

  • Operateand enhance our data center network infrastructure, including the lab.




PrincipalNetwork Engineer/Dev Ops->> Serves as subject matter expert in leadingthe design, implementation and configuration of the DC network infrastructureand network concerns. Performs systems management and integration functions.Conducts and leads complex analysis to correct systems, applications, software,and hardware that are not compliant with Corporate policy/procedures. Worksclosely with external vendors on large and multifaceted infrastructureengineering projects. Works closely with Application Development and QualityAssurance and Testing teams to understand infrastructure needs during thedevelopment and testing processes. Applies IT expertise in strategizing how tobest develop infrastructure that will allow development and testing processesto be secure and efficient. Provides expert input and recommends processes indeveloping project plans. Monitors project progress and provides regular statusreports to management team. Evaluates the effectiveness of the organization'sexisting infrastructure technology. Is an expert on current industry trends andemerging technologies. Analyzes trends to recommend and implement upgrades thatenhance the reliability and efficiency of the IT infrastructure. Contributes tothe achievement of Infrastructure Engineering objectives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, orequivalent work experience is required, advanced degree is preferred.
  • Ten to twelve (10-12) years of related experience is required.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
  • Seven or more (7+) years of experience working in NetworkEngineering.
  • Two or more (2+) years of experience with REST APIdevelopment a plus.
  • Strongunderstanding of network fundamentals.
  • Proficientin one or more programming languages, - Python, Go, Ruby, a plus.
  • Knowledgeof network configuration protocols - NETCONF, YANG, REST-CONF, etc a plus.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.


PreferredQualifications:

  • Abilityto identify network operational task and automate them via Python, Ansible,etc.
  • Excellentpresentation and network troubleshooting skillset.
  • Experiencewith Cisco systems Data Center products, protocols and features.
  • Abilityto lead an effort to improve network functions with DevOps mindset.
  • Experience with new technologies - SDN, VXLAN, Leaf/Spinefabric, DCNM, etc.
