Head of Data Sales
Tradeweb market data is the most trusted source of price information across key asset classes, such as fixed income rates, credit, and money markets. In this role you will be responsible for leading the team responsible for selling the suite of Tradeweb market data products including data, regulatory, analytics, and research related offerings. The Head of Data Sales will report to the Head of Data Strategy, sets the sales direction and coordinates with the product management team on go-to-market strategies for all market data products. The person will act as an internal and external face for the Tradeweb market data business with the ability to develop meaningful internal and external relationships in order to support all Tradeweb lines. The Head of Data Sales will also help establish key partnerships that can expand the distribution of Tradeweb market data.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for setting revenue targets and growing sales revenue for the Market Data sales team

  • Develop overall Market Data sales strategy and effectively lead team in executing sales plans and on-boarding clients for all Market Data products. Properly manage and align sales resources to products as needed

  • Leverage client and vendor relationships to assist Market Data product management with new commercial opportunities

  • Develop customer feedback loops across market data leadership team, trading sales and product to identify trends, assist in prioritization and plan resource allocation

  • Develop and maintain strong company relationships and manage processes with all necessary internal groups to assist commercial opportunities

  • Work with Tradeweb Institutional, Tradeweb Direct and Dealerweb sales verticals to market Market Data products internally and assist sales in collaborative opportunities

  • Build external relationships and converse with/educate/sell clients on the entire Tradeweb suite of Market data products

  • Effectively manage sales team and ensure professional development goals are provided/achieved, proper recognition is given based on individual achievements, and workload is evenly balanced across the team

  • Provide a monthly sales report to management with revenue tracking, client visits and sales status

  • Help with team resource roadmap detailing current coverage, gaps, and resource needs to achieve growth targets

  • Make sure management and all appropriate internal departments are aware of market data products, enhancements, sales activity and successes

  • Manage joint sales effort with strategic partners and coordinate campaigns with appropriate sales verticals there. Ensure that customer leads are managed properly on the partnership side in order to maintain Tradeweb credibility within relationship

  • Maintain continuing education with partners' sales forces to ensure their teams are armed to deliver best messaging on Tradeweb products


Qualifications:


  • 10+ years leading sales and/or business development efforts within financial information services

  • Experience developing go-to-market strategies for financial information products, including marketing, sales, pricing and targeted client campaigns

  • Deep relationships across financial services firms, including asset managers, hedge funds, banks, evaluated pricing services, index creators and data vendors

  • Experience with fixed income trading and data analytics, such as TCA, a strong preference

  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred

  • Strong communicator with C-level executives, both internally and externally

  • A strong leader of people adept in setting direction, setting appropriate sales targets, motivating the team and advancing the careers of team member.
