Team Description
COMPLIANCE TECHNOLOGY
Compliance starts with awareness, and awareness starts with us. The Compliance Technology department works with data from every division to assess our employees' cooperation with firm-wide policies and regulatory mandates across the globe. This involves monitoring billions of structured and unstructured data points on a daily basis derived from various sources, such as internal communications, transaction reports, and market data. The technology that achieves this is equally diverse, ranging from voice transcription of trader calls to analysis of how the firm's activity affects market trends. The firm's Compliance controls helps to protect our clients, the firm and the markets. Compliance Technology builds and enhances these controls by working with data from every franchise of the firm to ensure our compliance of regulatory mandates and policies across the globe. This involves processing billions of structured and unstructured data on a daily basis, ranging from the firm's transactions, communications, reference and market data. The control tools are deeply integrated with the firm's day to day business, such as client on-boarding, deal life cycle, trade booking and execution.

Control Room Technology
Control Room Compliance is responsible for maintaining information barrier/Chinese wall for the firm. Control Room tech partners with Control Room Compliance to develop and maintain various applications to facilitate seamless information flow between front office and compliance systems including information barrier restrictions.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS HOW YOU WILL FULFILL YOUR POTENTIAL
As a key developer in the team, you will work in a fast paced environment and have exposure to the latest technologies like Big Data Stack, Semantic Search, Natural Language Processing, Model Driven Development, Integrated Risk and Controls Platforms, Relationship Modeling, Graph Analytics and Social Network Analysis.

Developer will be responsible to build and develop integrated systems for Control Room based on latest technologies including enterprise platform stack, Datalake, eTask, DASH UI, REST, Angular Js, etc. Developer will be responsible for reengineering existing systems and building new applications.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors/Masters degree (US or foreign equivalent) in one of the STEM fields encouraged
  • Hands-on software development experience on Java
  • Strong SQL knowledge
  • Familiarity with Java\DB2
  • Experience in scripting in a Linux operating environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, keen to work in a dynamic environment
  • Comfortable multi-tasking, managing multiple stakeholders and working as part of a team
  • Willingness to learn new technologies, work as part of a global team of developers and take responsibility for design and timely delivery of well tested, high quality components.
  • Good communications skills, and willingness to engage with Consumer Compliance and Consumer Business counterparts on project requirements, proof of concept work and testing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Agile methodology
  • Experience with Big Data frameworks such as Hadoop , Apache Spark, Elastic Search, Data Lake or other equivalent technologies
  • Proficient at working with large and complex code bases
