Our Team Technology Services Group (TSG) is our central infrastructure services group for BNY Mellon. We are the technology enabler for the business. As part of TSG, our Workplace Technology team is responsible for the strategy, engineering, and strategic deployment activities for all end user services, including mobile services, Windows physical and virtual desktop, Mac, Microsoft 365, email, chat, collaboration, and related technologies. The Role We are seeking a Citrix Virtualization and Automation Engineer to join our team which is chartered with the responsibility for the Bank's global Citrix and remote access platforms. Our team is a Center of Excellence for Application Virtualization and enablement of business applications. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement highly available & DR resilient hybrid or on prem connectivity and management for Citrix Applications and Virtual Desktop Integration (i.e. Access, Resource, Control and User Layers) for Global infrastructure across Americas, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Design and implementation experience with Citrix Cloud, Analytics. Performance Manager and other cloud hosting platforms on a global scale. Design/implement highly available & DR resilient NetScaler Access Layer Environment Design and implement vendor applications into the BNYM supported infrastructure environment including application Server configuration and infrastructure/network component integration Design/implement automation & provisioning processes and tools for managing large scale enterprise platforms Drive technical debt out of the environment by keeping platforms and services current, defining SDLC standards globally, while reducing variation. Design/implement in-depth data integration and reporting capabilities for to measure product usage, performance and SDLC footprint; Knowledge of writing SQL queries to support reporting capabilities in Splunk and other platforms. Create and document implementation/support procedures/automation/alerting & monitoring of new deployments for Operations Support Evaluation of emerging technologies (on-premise and cloud hosted) Research and deployment of Proof-of-Concept environments for new technology, perform feasibility and business case studies Fourth-tier escalation point for support issues of the production environment Assist with Desktop & Hypervisor Engineering team in managing user experience/profile management, performance tuning strategies, vSphere administration and configurations; familiarity with other hypervisors such as Hyper-V. Subject matter expert in at least one of the tools/techologies used in the space. Participates in or leads initiatives to analyze infrastructure problems to be solved with advanced design. Utilizes standard procedures and policies when selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Manages the processes for ensuring that all systems/applications/software/hardware are compliant with Corporate policy/procedures. Monitors project plans and budgets. Contributes to developing and monitoring the organization's technology architecture and future technology vision. Develops reports in conjunction with the Fellow Architect which demonstrate business opportunities and road map strategies that add business value. Drafts proposals on infrastructure architecture needs for M&A activity, and supports the creation of executive summaries. This person is a subject matter expert in at least one of the tools/techologies used in the space. Consults and advises application development groups on solution architecture design.monitoring implmentation; recommending solutions based on BNYM and industry best practices. Acts as the lead for major incident resolution. Drives strategy to increase automation across the organization. Contributes to the achievement of team objectives Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred 8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required; advanced degree preferred 8-10 years of related experience required; experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus Minimum 5 years hands-on experience designing and implementing Microsoft and Citrix vendor production in large (50k+ users), Global corporate environments with extensive compliance and regulatory requirements Minimum 5 years of experience in design and integration of NetScaler infrastructure Strong PowerShell, VBScript scripting expertise or comparable scripting languages. Preferred: Experience configuring and administering applications with Server back end.
