As part of TSG, our Technology Production Services team is dedicated to ensuring that our technology environments are best in class. Our Production Services team runs the systems that keep BNY Mellon running. Their mission is to deliver a full IT service management lifecycle across all run-the-bank applications and infrastructure support with the purpose of providing a controlled, secure, and predictable production environment. The Role As a COO/CAO for our Production Services team, you will initiate, define, and lead the most complex projects of strategic importance to the business, across multiple domain areas: budgeting, business planning, risk identification and mitigation, regulatory compliance, communications, policy development, change management and process improvement. You will work closely with Senior Management, including C-Suite executives to understand their needs, develop and implement appropriate guidance, direction, and communication in place of the executive. You will advise leaders on business-led programs such as people-related management, global location strategy, meeting management, etc. You will have the responsibility of overseeing project implementations and provides regular feedback to senior leaders. In addition, you will proactively identify project roadblocks or unprecedented, complex problems and develops solutions all the way through to implementation. You will lead across the business and/or functional management team to implement and enforce policies, standards, and processes that require an advanced knowledge of key business or function roles and organizational design. Responsibilities: Counsel to senior management team Assist in facilitating effective decision making Drive the execution of the TSG Business Partners vision towards establishing a high performance organization including Diversity, Inclusion and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives In-depth understanding of business and organizational dynamics to foster collaboration and effectively negotiate/decision on behalf of leadership Remain aware of contemporary concepts in IT strategy and management Define analytical frameworks for visioning and assessing strategic options Ideation and coordination of strategic initiatives Design, perform and oversee a wide range of larger scale strategic initiatives, directing and formulating recommendations and obtaining stakeholder buy-in. Provide solutions to complex business problems where in-depth knowledge of organizational objectives is required. Utilize comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within technology to achieve organizational objectives. Guides and consults with teams during technical planning process. Guide and consult with teams during technical planning process Drive continuous improvement through focus on service excellence, operational, regulatory, risk and control enhancements Develop robust roadmap and strategy for presentation to TSG EC and key stakeholders Staffing strategy and talent management/development Retain, engage, develop talent as well as act as liaison with HR Talent Leads Manage talent requisition process Assist with delivery and facilitation of promotions, compensation and performance management processes Own the coordination with Global Talent and Development to address capability gaps and learning needs Drive and maintain a strong organizational culture that will continue to attract and sustain top-tier talent. Advise in offshore talent management, recruitment and retention efforts Establish improved interaction model between off-shore team and US teams Budgetary management and administrative activities Assist with delivery and management of budget Oversee budgetary requirements including annual planning and major expenditure request process Identify discretionary ways to lower expenses while maintaining or exceeding the quality expectations Manage other administrative activities including vendor management (contract, invoicing, control/compliance, etc.) Provide oversight for risk management including regulatory / compliance topics Provide direct oversight to ensure no outstanding or overdue audit points Develop and manage balanced scorecard (financial, risk, people, projects, operational risk) Communications Conceptualize and coordinate consistent and transparent communications and presentations to a wide variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to the organization, including executive officers, oversight functions, and regulators Develop and execute communications, story lines, and presentations for TSG colleagues, including town halls and leadership off-sites, providing linkage between everyday work and business objectives Own and/or streamline other recurring reporting/tracking responsibilities to enable the organization to be up-to-date on latest industry developments, and improve productivity and efficiency Leads and defines the reactive and proactive processes and activities required to design, implement, maintain, and improve the compliance and performance of operations processes. Assists in leading the design of a process, identifying all process goals, objectives, and components. Defines all the roles and responsibilities associated with a process. Drives creation of process requirements, functional requirements, and validation of solutions. Oversees testing and process rollouts for highly complex or multiple enhancements. Identifies and defines the control points of the process and process integrations. Directs activities that affect stakeholders across multiple functionalities for process development, implementation, and support. Identifies risks, issues, or constraints that might hinder or prevent monitoring activities. Identifies all business events, situations, or conditions that may initiate (trigger) a process to begin, or interrupt or stop the successful execution of a process. Contributes to the achievement of area objectives. Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required, certified Lean Six Sigma Black Belt 10-12 years of related experience required, experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
