RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS Duties: Associate with Goldman Sachs Services LLC in Jersey City, NJ. Full Stack Software Engineer within the People Technology business unit, responsible for engineering solutions that are applied across a number of risk functions such as Compliance, Conflicts Resolution, HCM and Enterprise Risk Management. Act as Lead User Experience developer, specializing in implementing advanced User Experience visualization techniques for analytical and operational use cases. Analyze, enhance and maintain a suite of web applications using Java, AngularJS, ReactJS, NodeJS and relational and non-relational databases. Engage in test-driven development using Junit, Groovy, Jasmine, PhantomJS and Karma. Formulate design and implementation requirements in the system following coding best practices and utilizing Object-Oriented programming and design patterns concepts. Support the system with business users and communicate ideas clearly and concisely to non-technical users of the system. Engage in stakeholder discussions with the Firm's global business counterparts to ensure requirements are effectively represented in sprint planning exercises. Work with developers as part of a global development function spanning multiple geographic time zones. Communicate technical and functional design aspects across all levels of seniority (from the team level to C-level executives).

Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (US or foreign equivalent) in Information Technology and Management, Computer Science, or a related field. Two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related role. Must have two (2) years of experience with: developing software applications that support the financial services industry, with specializations in Enterprise Risk, Regulations and Control frameworks; working concurrently on multiple technical projects and managing relationships with multiple stakeholders; developing object-oriented software using Java; developing responsive frontend applications using JavaScript, AngularJS, React JS, Redux, HTML, CSS (including experience with SASS or LESS), RESTful web services and NodeJS; working with and developing for relational databases including IBM DB2; using Java unit testing tools including Junit and Groovy; using JavaScript testing tools including Karma, Jasmine and PhantomJS; deploying web applications using different build tools including WebPack, Gulp, Maven and Gradle; creating data visualizations across different web applications; working with and supporting Elastic Search applications; applying user centered design processes and principles through conducting user research and usability testing with the stakeholders; and developing software applications using Agile techniques: User Stories, Acceptance Test Driven development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, and Agile Games. Must have one (1) year of experience with: leading and performing technical and functional analysis in order to ensure business requirements are represented in sprint planning exercises; prototyping User Experience designs and wireframes using Sketch and Invision; and working with and developing for No-SQL databases including MongoDB.
