Description

Prepares & updates U.S. GAAP & IFRS accounting policies, emerging guidance tracking, implementation and presentation.Conducts transaction and financial statement reviews; prepares transaction memos; performs GAAP analysis on new products.Implements new accounting standards, as well as supports discussion of local accounting policy issues with internal and /external auditors.Attends industry meetings/conferences.

Profile

BA degree. CPA (or equivalent) preferable8+ years of public and private accounting experience in financial services working on investment securities, loans, leases and derivatives with at least 4-5 years of accounting policy and public accounting experienceExpertise of U.S. GAAP and knowledge of IFRS

Strong research skills; knowledge of accounting research engine; ability to synthesize information and communicate to users.Strong analytical skills, presentation skills and technical accounting skills (e.g. derivatives, loans, investments, consolidation, transfers of financial assets, guarantees, revenue recognition, leasing, CECL, pension and fair value).Strong business writing skills
