As a very important member of the nCino Information Security team, the Information Security Specialist - Compliance is responsible for maintaining the confidentiality, availability and integrity of the organizations data. Main responsibilities include the planning, deployment, implementation, operations and maintenance of security programs, tools, processes, procedures; and to assure that the company complies with contractual, statutory and regulatory requirements regarding information security and privacy.

Our information security program covers various domains, including Information Security Governance, Risk and Compliance, Administration and Implementation of Security Solutions, Threat Management, Data Loss Prevention, Incident Response as well as Business Continuity and Audit. Whilst different roles within the team may focus on different areas, we expect candidates to have a broad understanding of all these domains.

This position is a hands-on position requiring direct involvement in various aspects of the nCino information security and compliance programs.


  • Assist in the improvement and administration of the corporate information security program.

  • Identify threats and vulnerabilities and implement controls to prevent security breaches.
  • Evaluate, implement and administer information security technologies and solutions.
  • Conduct information security readiness and risk assessments.
  • Conduct and assist with internal and external audits and certifications.
  • Conduct and assist with third party risk assessments.
  • Develop appropriate risk treatment and mitigation plans to address security risks.
  • Conduct business continuity planning and testing.
  • Create and oversee corporate information security awareness training.
  • Act on data and privacy breaches and malware threats.
  • Provide input on security architecture and design.
  • Serve as an information security subject matter expert and conduct training when needed.
  • Document information security policies and relevant operating procedures.
  • Keeps users informed by preparing performance reports; communicating system status.
  • Keep abreast of latest information security and privacy legislation, regulations, advisories and alerts.


  • Experience in developing and administering information security, compliance or audit programs.
  • Strong technical skills with the knowledge of security standards, procedures and policies.
  • Pro-active with proven ability to execute.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively at multiple levels of the company.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent time management and organization skills.
  • Understanding of Information Security frameworks such as ISO 27001 a plus.
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) a plus.


  • Bachelors degree required. Advanced degree preferred.
