This role reports to a new function, Group CDO Data Risk and Control Framework, which is being formed to develop a holistic view of Data Health at Credit Suisse, including improved visibility of our data controls landscape, minimum standard key controls and links to bank-wide control frameworks. This is an excellent opportunity to be the part of this new function and apply your SME background, relationship management and problem-solving skills to drive an independent assessment of Data Management capabilities of the entire bank.
  • Create a standardized framework and approach for Data Risk and Control Assessment
  • Establish close partnership with business and technology partners across the bank to demonstrate learning and standard methodologies from existing data control landscape
  • Produce policy and framework documentation which will serve as guideline for execution of a 2nd Line of Defense Data Risk and Control framework.
  • Implementation of the defined framework and supporting the execution would be an integral part of this role.

You Offer

List of skill and experience encouraged in an applicant:
  • We are looking for an applicant with equivalent work experience with Risk and Control related process implementation, attention to detail, and ability to partner with a diverse range of audience across business and technology to drive creation of a data focused control framework.
  • Equivalent experience of at least 6-8 years' within an Investment Banking or Private Banking organization
  • Equivalent experience of at least 2-4 years of in Operational Risk management or a Risk and Control function. Previous exposure to regulatory risk management and controls testing is desired.
  • Detailed understanding of risk and controls implementation and evaluation in a banking context
  • Able to combine a mix of opinions, facts and data points to create an independent and balanced view of data management risk
  • Confident with ambiguity and ability to optimally take concepts to pragmatic solutions for implementation at enterprise scale
  • The ability to influence and drive progress working with groups with differing priorities. Proven ability in leading workshops to craft new processes or gather business requirements, ensuring that related outcomes are detailed and actioned appropriately
  • Comfortable creating high quality output in a fast paced environment under tight timeframes
  • Understands the value of diversity in the workplace and is dedicated to fostering an inclusive culture in all aspects of working life so that people from all backgrounds receive equal treatment, realize their full potential and can bring their full, authentic selves to work.
Desirable:
  • Experience in relevant data fields such as data governance, data quality management, data architecture and conducting/coordinating or leading Operational Risk Management, Risk and Controls Self-Assessment (RCSA) exercises for a function or sub-function
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite programs, especially Excel and Power Point is essential. Detailed knowledge of documenting Process Flow Swim lane diagrams using Visio would be a plus
  • Experience with Credit Suisse Internal Control Frameworks - ERCF (Enterprise Risk and Control Framework) and CAF (Control Activities Framework) and the capture of IT and Business Process controls related to frameworks like SOX or BCBS is a plus
