You will be working in the Operational Risk Modeling / Capital team and will support the Credit Suisse operational risk scenario analysis in the US. The Operational Risk Scenario Analysis Manager is responsible for the overall coordination of the analysis process corresponding to the operational risks faced by CS. The results from the process are used loss projections as part of the Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR) submissions.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate process for the development and ongoing evaluation of operational risk scenario analysis
  • Implement development of case studies to quantify risks, conduct sessions to gather input from key partners and determine loss estimates, maintaining a library of scenarios
  • Arrange production of analytics such as internal and external loss data to support decision making as well as risk profile monitoring
  • Ensure quality control and consistency of the scenario documentation
  • Develop and improve procedures, processes and reporting
  • Build presentations and governance reporting for senior leadership and governance committees
  • Support the ongoing development of the CS's stress testing capabilities in relation to operational risk and the incorporation of these in the regulatory frameworks
  • Maintain execution standards, including timely implementation of audit and regulatory points as applicable
  • Provide quality assurance (testing, documentation) on quantitative elements of the operational risk projections

  • Energetic self-starter, ability to work independently and proactively, proven track record of delivery
  • 5+ years of work experience in a financial institution. Solid experience in roles with expertise in the businesses, products and controls with deep understanding on how the businesses operate and the associated risks
  • Strong technical and quantitative aptitude to be able to understand and determine quantification of operational risks, ideally exposure to developing and understanding financial models, capital adequacy and stress testing
  • Understanding of operational risk methods and practices as well as the risk management framework
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn and build positive relationship with business and other functions
  • Hardworking with capability to work in fast paced environment and manage multiple projects in a timely fashion
  • Ability to perform quality assurance and solid attention to detail
  • MSc or equivalent in a quantitative subject area is a plus!
