POSITION SUMMARY:

Provide leadership in the end to end design, development and delivery of technology-enabled applications, products and services responsible for meeting development schedules and delivering high quality solutions that meet technical specifications and design requirements. Contribute to and/or lead the solution and technical design phases of the software development life cycle. May manage the design and implementation of new software development and enhancement efforts and software testing with other technologists

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 

  • Oversee creation and approval of technical and solution documentation
  • Identify and manage dependencies and downstream impacts of the project to minimize adverse effects on other projects and / or programs
  • Manage day to day technical challenges and communicate to leadership and team any risks or issues associated with the development activities
  • Assists  with the estimation of technical timelines and allocation of the technical resources to specific task
  • Coordinate coding and unit testing phases of system development and facilitate Code Reviews
  • Identify opportunities for system reuse and system simplification
  • Ensures high quality, integrated testing automation solutions as part of delivery
  • Influences and contributes to decisions that drive high quality, strategic design patterns
  • Accountable for implementation of approved technical designs for team deliverables

QUALIFICATIONS: Required:
  • 6 or more years of experience full stack Java/J2EE and API design, development, and integration.
  • 3 or more years working in an agile/scrum or SAFe environment
Preferred:
  • 5 or more years of experience in financial services and/or retirement business setting.
  • Minimum 8  years relevant experience, ideally some in leadership role
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem resolution skills.
  • Knowledge of Mulesoft tools, Angular JS
  • Microservices design, development, and implementation
  • Exposure and familiarity with Kafka platform
  • Familiarity with Activiti framework
  • Proficient working with Openshift/Docker platform and tools
