Job Summary

Barings is seeking a transformational / integration program manager to join the Transformation Management Office (TMO) to execute strategic and operational transformational initiatives (firm & digital transformation) and employ process improvement levers (e.g. Agile, Lean process redesign, organizational model reviews, etc.). The purpose of the TMO is to drive transformational change and implement (and continuously monitor) an agile organizational model across people, processes, and technology.

The Strategic Change Solutions Manager is responsible to work across the organization to understand business processes and associated systems to assess and deliver key process innovation and continuous improvement initiatives across multiple jurisdictions. The individual has experience in leading large-scale projects across an enterprise utilizing external providers and internal resources; also the individual has experience with Agile, Six Sigma, and Lean methodologies.

Additionally, the individual will partner with the TMO lead to develop a governance and project management framework that will be utilized for transformational initiatives. The individual will provide leadership in sharing best practices and ensure deliverables are consistent while eliminating complexities.

This role will report to the Head of the Transformation Management Office.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leader within the TMO and will work closely with all levels throughout the organization; act as a program lead for TMO initiatives; manage and drive execution; foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders; ensures plans are thoughtfully developed, aligned, and executed per set strategy
  • Lead sessions with cross-functional teams to define, develop, and implement new or improved processes
  • Accountable to help teams apply Scrum, Agile and Lean thinking
  • Identify, measure, and report on key process / performance indicators by utilizing data & analytics to create an evidenced based approach for process efficiencies
  • Develop and deliver executive communications to Barings stakeholders
  • Contribute to the transformation and change management processes; plan and execute business process reviews; partner with Investment teams, Technology, Operations, and other shared support teams to assess and drive change
  • Work with the TMO lead to establish the governance and project management methodologies & tools
  • Mentor and trainer for the team and champion process improvement and impediment removal; increase adoption of process improvement skill-sets
  • Strategic planner and negotiator, with ability to influence direction without direct oversight

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required; PMP and/or Agile certifications preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years of consulting / project delivery experience; and minimum of 5 years proven continuous improvement analytical experience, including project management and business analysis
  • Deep understanding of program management and governance; both establishing and utilizing for delivery
  • Ability to management programs and large scale organizational change initiatives; ability to work on multiple efforts simultaneously
  • Strong trouble-shooting, writing, organizational, and oral communication skills; effective communication skills across multiple levels of a diverse organization
  • Experience with resource planning and project staffing
  • Excellent attention to detail and work ethic
