The TIAA Detection & Response Team is seeking an Information Security Analyst to participate in the day-to-day operations of its Information Security Operations Detection team. The incumbent will be responsible for triaging and validating security events. Secondary duties will consist of mentoring other Detection analysts during the shift.


Monitor company networks for security breaches and investigate a violation when one occurs. Perform incident analysis by correlating data from various sources and determine if a critical system or data set is affected. Handle incidents as defined in Playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures. Support the Security Operations Center and monitor security tools. Follow standard operating procedures for detecting, classifying, and triaging of security events of interest.
QUALIFICATIONS: Required Skills:
  • Experience working within the fields of Information Security or Cybersecurity.

Desired Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Experience handling security incidents, to include reviewing raw log files, data correlation, and analysis (i.e. firewall, network flow, IDS, system logs).
  • Industry-recognized information security certifications, i.e. Security+, Net+, CASP, C|EH
  • Experience with industry standard frameworks
  • Passionate about identifying malicious attackers, and understanding attack vectors, threat tactics
  • Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, antivirus, and IDS concepts.
