How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:
This role will be responsible for supporting critical monthly processes related to the Brighthouse Financial Annuity Distribution group. On a monthly basis, this individual will analyze and update various databases used in the compensation of Brighthouse sales staff. Regular collaboration is to be expected with internal departments and partners including, but not limited to, Human Resources, Legal, Product, and Compliance. Additionally, this role will support several initiatives surrounding the measurement of Firm Profitability, Cost of Acquisition, and other ad-hoc analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, design, and maintain sales compensation strategy
  • Administer and manage the planning, actuals, and projection of Distribution headcount and related expenses
  • Develop, update, and maintain important Distribution metrics for business leadership (COA, Firm Profitability, etc.)
  • Build strong business relationships with key partners to facilitate the successful implementation of Distribution strategy
  • Utilizes expertise to provide ad-hoc support to internal and external partners related to Distribution finance
  • Support corporate business initiatives and consequent financial reporting needs
  • Other duties as assigned

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
  • Advanced financial modeling and analysis ability using Microsoft Excel
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and supporting business groups
  • Strong ability to present financial data concisely and clearly to senior management
  • Conscientious handling of confidential information; compensation experience preferred
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Lead and mentor junior team members
  • Driven by a growth oriented, entrepreneurial, high-energy environment
  • 5-8 years of experience within a given function (e.g. Finance, Accounting, Credit/Risk)
  • MBA or other advanced degree preferred
