How This Role Contributes to Brighthouse Financial:
Daily responsibility for researching and resolving commission inquiries and errors for Broker Dealers and General Agents. Reconciles discrepancies of missing payments and accurately processes necessary commission adjustments to insure payments are made. Generate daily and weekly commission disbursements. Responsibility of accurately updating the commission system with negotiated commission rates for the available products. Process and update commission/agent information within propriety systems to ensure compensation is paid timely and accurately.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Priorities daily work responsibilities to ensure the specified service level objective is maintained
  • Inputs new commission schedules and maintains/updates legacy schedules
  • Receives and responds to inquiries from internal and external customers
  • Calculates, adjusts, and processes compensation payments for Broker Dealers in an accurate and timely fashion
  • Reconciles simple to moderately complex discrepancies, which require the collection and review of payment histories to locate missing payments and/or locate errors
  • Performs monthly and quarterly manual trail compensation processes
  • Rotational coverage for commission processing on weekends/holidays
  • Track all daily production
  • Maintains knowledge of all company policies, procedures, products and services
  • Performs other related duties as required or assigned

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
  • Bachelor's Degree highly preferred
  • Annuity compensation experience preferred
  • Proficient PC skills in Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Detail and Quality oriented
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Ability to handle a large volume of diverse work and determine appropriate action
  • Strong troubleshooting and research skills
  • Ability to produce a high volume of error-free work
