Data Collection Analyst, Securities

Role Purpose

We currently have an entry level Analyst position in our Securities Data team. Our analysts have the opportunity to learn the fundamentals of the financial industry, specifically focusing on equity, mutual fund and unit investment trust payment data. Typical hours are either 9AM to 6PM or 10:30AM to 7:30PM daily. The team works later shifts on the last day of every month and in December to cover high volume of announced data. Vacation time is limited during peak production times throughout the month and year, especially in December.

Role Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

  • Research, analyze press releases, company announcements, mutual fund announcements, Stock Exchange bulletins for payment related information.
  • Become a subject matter expert on dividends, capital gains, and issue level corporate actions such as stock splits, stock distributions, reverse splits, and spin-offs.
  • Be able to maintain a high level of accuracy and timeliness in regard to your daily responsibilities.
  • Monitor company websites and various news sites for related data.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited university. Business degree preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in U.S.
  • Strong Research and Analytical skills
  • High level of written and oral communication in the English language
  • Self-motivated, team player who demonstrate ability to solve problems with minimal supervision
  • Team Player
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Some knowledge of the nature of the business, eagerness to learn & able to function in a fast pace environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel and Access
